Café de Maman is the home of coffee crafted by Rwandan women from Nova Coffee. The company’s mission is to create a thriving coffee community that connects coffee lovers around the world with exquisite Bourbon Arabica grown in Rwanda’s northern highlands.
The company believes that coffee has the power to shape Rwanda’s future by improving the quality of life for farmers, their families, and the entire nation. At Café de Maman, there is a special focus on supporting women and young farmers, who are at the heart of the coffee industry. Training, education, assistance with fertilizers, and other resources are key elements of their mission to ensure sustainable development.
As many as 2,800 families are involved in the company. So, when you choose Café de Maman coffee, you not only enjoy a rich and vibrant cup, but also support the Rwandan coffee community and women in agriculture.
This washed coffee from Rwanda’s cool northern climate is a vivid example of juicy African character from heirloom Bourbon varieties. The cup is lively, honey-fruity, with soft notes that hint at the tropics.
