Donaldo González Fiallos is a long-standing partner of Ukraine from Honduras. He is a third-generation farmer who was born in the capital of Honduras. As a child, he often traveled to the town of Corquín, where his grandparents lived — people he dearly loved. That is why, after graduating from El Zamorano Agricultural University, Donaldo returned to Corquín to start his farming career. He is the head of the Aruco cooperative, founded in 2006 by 14 coffee producers, which today has grown to nearly 200 members.

Overall, this is a large company with its own processing station, around 1,700 hectares of coffee plantations, and a wide variety of quality cultivars, such as Bourbon, Caturra, Catuaí, IHCAFE90, Lempira, Maragogipe, Parainema, and Gesha. The processing station is both ecological and efficient, thanks to modern technological equipment and thoughtful reinvestment into production and marketing.

This washed-process coffee was harvested on plantations in Santa Bárbara and Comayagua. Coffee from these regions is typically characterized by high yields, very smooth acidity, and pronounced sweetness. What impressed us most about this lot was the clarity of its body, high sweetness, and remarkable consistency from cup to cup. It also has a uniform and very clean body, which is an excellent characteristic for Central American coffee. This is the result of responsible work, experience, and the unique terroir of Honduras.
